I went to Ikea today. It is also move-in weekend for every institution of higher education in Boston and its surrounding areas. Needless to say, it wasn't that fun.

Today I painted my nails. It was only afterward, when they had dried that I realized that painting your nails navy blue the day before you start a new job is probably not the greatest idea.


I'm debating whether or not I want to buy nail polish remover and if I can get away with navy nails. It's casual attire...if I dress up nice, will that compensate for the nails, or will I just look more like a freak?

My office is approximately 7 degrees and I just heard someone in the admin office saying they were going make a phone call to get the air conditioning fixed. By "fixed" I sure do hope they mean "shut off."

Today, I should be receiving Daisies from Netflix.

I'm hardly able to restrain myself from running home to check the mail.

I'm catsitting for one of my bosses from Prevail while he's out of town this weekend. His cat is kind of a freak, and she has some serious emotional issues, but this is kind of adorbs:

When I pet her, she stretches out her arm and pets me. Unfortunately, she has SUPER long nails, and it's sort of painful.

I went for a bike ride today, and I took my nalgene with me (for hydration purposes). I was severely disappointed when I went to drink from it and it was full of dust and things. I hadn't rinsed it out first, and it had sat unused for 4 months. Prairie Path fail.

Can anyone explain how faxing works?
