Until this week, I was considering going somewhere, anywhere for New Year's. Then I went to do my banking, and realized that I only had $11 in my bank account. So, staying at home with my parents it is. I foresee sitting on the couch watching Anderson Cooper or CSI reruns with my mother in the very near future.
But really, who needs a party when you can knit a hat?

Really, New Years is a shitty holiday, and no one ever really has fun (in my experience!) and we would all be best off ignoring it (or taking advantage of tv marathons).

I'm considering foregoing all celebrations as my way of sticking it to all those that see NYE as a new beginning :-)

And I agree with Katie's comment... although I have had 2 fun New Year celebrations- however, I think the fun had more to do with being in tropical locations and mojitos rather than ringin' in the NY. It has snowed 3 inches in the past 90 minutes- NOTHING CAN BE FUN IN THIS WEATHER.
